I’ve struggled with acne for years, and if there is one thing I’ve come to realize it’s that there is no magic cure – at least not for me. I’ve tried everything from drug store to high end products. I’ve taken over-the-counter vitamins and prescribed medication from a dermatologist. None of those things cured my acne completely. It’s taken me years of trial and error and a combination of diet, skincare, and hormonal birth control to finally get my skin to a manageable place.
I don’t believe in a “miracle cure” but there are several skincare products I keep on hand that have helped me tackle those painful and pesky breakouts. One newer product in my arsenal is the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay mask.

I stumbled on this face mask while shopping on Amazon. All the glowing reviews pushed me to purchase, and I am so glad I did! The first plus side of this face mask is the value. You get 1 lb of product for $10.95 USD and compared to all the high-priced masks on the market right now, that’s a pretty great deal. The clay comes in a dry, finely milled powder form you can either mix with water or apple cider vinegar.
A little goes a long way with this product, which is also a plus. I prefer to use Bragg’s Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, which is also recommended in the product details on Amazon. My skin is fairly sensitive, so I mix with water if I’m going to use this product all over my face. However, my favorite way to use this is as a a spot treatment. I’ll mix the apple cider vinegar with about a tablespoon of the clay mask and apply to my active breakouts. Just 5-10 minutes is all this mask needs to do it’s thing. I find it reduces the swelling and healing time of even my cystic break-outs which I truly appreciate. It reduces large pores and just gives your skin a clean, refreshed feeling.
Will this mask give you angel soft, new born baby fresh skin and cure your acne for good? No. But for me, it helps reduce my break-outs and clears my skin faster. It’s affordable, easy to use, and is free of additives, fragrances, and animal products. It’s not a miracle cure, but it’s affective. If you’re looking for a christmas gift for a friend or family member, Amazon is selling a starter kit with everything you’ll need! Get one as a gift or just treat yourself, I highly recommend!
Yes! I have this mask too and I love it! Literally last me for years.
