Stay-cation in the Capital

Hello everyone! I took a little stay-cation with my sweet future sister-in-law this weekend it and was a blast. We’re about 45 minutes outside of our nation’s capital so we treated ourselves to a little girls trip.

We drove into the city saturday afternoon and checked into our hotel. We decided on Eaton DC for our trip. With a restaurant, cafĂ©, rooftop bar, and secret speakeasy, Eaton has everything you need for a weekend away. There’s also a beautiful spa and wellness center for some extra pampering.

We were blown away by the service and stunning rooms. One of my favorite little perks provided in the suite was a record player with vinyls to jam to while we got ready for the night. A comfortable bed and a beautiful view of K Street made our stay an absolute blast.

It’s still chilly here in Northern Virginia, so I wanted to look chic while staying warm. I wore my favorite mile high levi jeans and a cozy black off the shoulder sweater. My gold GG belt and black booties finished off the look. My denim jacket and maroon hat kept me warm during the night but still had me looking put together. I love having a few pieces in my wardrobe I can mix and match with different outfits. I’ve been loving my jean jacket because it’s easy to style. My favorite part of the whole look was this wool hat from Lulu’s. It added a pop of color that I needed in this outfit. Also, can we appreciate the Carmen Sandiego vibes the hat is giving off?

We grabbed dinner at Reren Lamen & Bar in Chinatown and it was delicious! Quick service, friendly atmosphere and yummy asian fusion cuisine. It’s not your traditional ramen place but the food is fantastic nonetheless. I would add more photos of the awesome hot and spicy Kung-Fu noodles I ordered but I devoured the bowl before I thought to take a photo, which I feel like is a great sign.

We grabbed a drink at the rooftop bar before heading in for the night. It was an awesome trip with Cara; my sweet sister and lady behind the camera. If I ever stay in DC again, I’ll definitely be heading back to Eaton.
